Set up a Discord leveling system
Enable leveling. On the Leveling page, turn the system on and set XP per message and per voice minute, with a cooldown to prevent farming.
Add level roles. Grant roles automatically at chosen levels; pick stacking (keep old roles) or single (replace) behaviour.
Exclude where needed. Add no-XP channels (e.g. spam or bot channels) and no-XP roles so leveling stays fair.
Set the level-up message. Choose the channel and message members see when they level up, and let them customise their rank-card background.
Reward the right activity
Leveling works best when it rewards genuine participation. XP for messages and voice, a cooldown and variance to stop farming, and no-XP channels for spam areas keep the system meaningful.
Make levels feel worth it
Level-up roles turn XP into visible status and perks, custom rank cards make progress personal, and a leaderboard adds friendly competition — all reasons members keep coming back.
