Back up and restore a Discord server
- Take a snapshot. From the Security page (or with /snapshot), capture your channels, roles and permissions. A snapshot is also taken automatically when the bot joins.
- Snapshot before big changes. Take a manual snapshot before any major reorganisation so you can roll back if it goes wrong.
- Recover individual items. If a channel, role or ban is removed, restore just that item from the deletion log within 12 hours.
- Roll back after an attack. After a nuke, restore your structure from the pre-nuke snapshot the bot captured automatically, then reverse mass bans from the deletion log.
